THE SO(U)LE OF LFDD
June Thompson Gauntley
My fabulous husband, Drew, and I, live in BC, Canada, about an hour south of Vancouver, 8 minutes to the border of WA state. We have just celebrated our 35th anniversary this month. We are a blended family and have four children (2 boys, 2 girls) and six grandchildren - 4 boys and 2 girls. I was a realtor when we met, and loved working with young marrieds searching for their first home. I finally had had enough, and worked for four years for one of our local MPs (Federal members of parliament). It was quite the experience!
My family on my Dad's side have many artists (the drawing and painting type) in it. My sister inherited that gift, but not me. However, my creative side has come out in music (piano), and through the years I have sewed clothes for my girls, quilted, embroidered crewel and cross-stitch, and even a little bit of pottery (that one didn't last long - I don't like getting my hands in "muck"). In 1997, I was invited to a CM workshop by a friend. And I was immediately hooked! From that day until 2010, I made 46 traditional family albums, each with 90 pages, through CM. I had bought Storybook Creator in 2009, but was afraid to install it, and never used it until I had to....I broke my ankle and had to sit in my chair for 3 months as I wasn't able to use crutches. So, I decided this was a good time to learn digital, and I have never looked back! I found p2P at that time (LOVE p2P), and have gone from CM, to Panstoria, and now to Forever Artisan 5 software. It is fabulous and I absolutely love it. I scrapbook every day and can play with a page for hours! It is such a gift to have the time to do this, after being so busy in my working life. The subjects for my pages are my family, as I do a family album every year, many calendars, and a vacation album for each road trip or "big" vacation. The last book I have done was a catch up one with 95 pages for my sister of our "Ancestry Tour" to England in 2009. I am giving it to her for Christmas.
I also love photography, and travel - especially road trips - with Drew. He is used to me sitting in the passenger seat with my camera set with a fast shutter speed, taking shots out of the windows! It still shocks me how many of these photos actually turn out quite well! I have taken Basic Photography and Going Manual from Nick Kelsh and have learned so much about my new Canon camera. I am currently looking for a photography club in my area.
I have known Janet for a few years since we did the "This is Me Exposed" project, and have also done the "Home is Where the Heart Is" project with her, which I just loved. My HIWTHI album is one of my favourites! I am a complete CT newbie, so please let me know when I do something wrong, as I likely will! I am so honoured to be on Janet's team, getting to know all you wonderfully talented ladies, and working with Janet's gorgeous designs.
(Sorry about the Canadian spelling of words such as "honour" and "favourite" but I just can't make myself spell it the American way.)
My name is Laureen Gillis and live in Greenville, Michigan, The Great Lakes State. I love all the water, nature, critters and our beautiful colorful seasons. I love the rebirth of nature in springs and all the colorful flowers, bids singing and trees showing their new leaves. I love the water and warm weather in the summer and all our Michigan’s picturesque waterfall’s and islands. I love the many hues of our glorious fall, the changing of the tree color, harvesting of the fields and crops. I love our “Winter Wonderland” snowfalls and snowmen, but I hate the cold weather.
I believe in God, Family and Friends. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and if and when God wants us to know he will tell us. I am grateful for my mind he gave me, my sight to see and my hands to create.
I am a middle child and came from a family of five brothers and sisters, the only sibling left is my older sister. I am single and never have been married. I have tons or nieces and nephews and lots of greats too.I love spoiling all of them to pieces. .I have two beautiful Persian Cats- Andrew 14 years old and Crickette, 3 years old. These are my babies.
My educational back ground is a Associates in Arts and Sciences, a Cosmetology License, a Cosmetology Instructors License, a BA, a MA and many other class I have taken for fun and love of learning.
I taught the art, science and craft of hairdressing for 40 plus years. •I retired in 2011 from teaching and the natural learner in me still wanted more. •I love, cherish and value all my photos. •I started taking my first pictures when I was 5 years old with a Kodak Brownie Camera. (I still have some of those pictures) •As a way to pass my family heritage and memories down, I started to do traditional scrapbooking in 1997. When I was introduced to digital scrapbooking it was love at first sight. I have made many, many albums, calendars, gifts and wall hangings, for my family and friends. •I was asked if I would teach them my art and craft of preserving, organizing, creating, printing and publishing.
I now teach a class twice a week on how to:
• Capture •Preserve •Organize •Design and Create
• Print and publish digital photo memories
• I have been a learner all my life. I have always been creative. My friends would say I was artsy-fartsy. The rest is history.
My first creative team was Designs by Laura Burger in June 2015. I was then asked to join Sherri Sessions Jumpstart Design Team in August 2015 and now on Little Feet Digital Designs by Janet Carr. , I am very humbled and proud to be working with such creative, giving and wonderful teams. I am not an expert at this yet but with all the help and support of these girls and their teams I am learning so much.
Barbara Hewitt - Creative Team Manager LFDD
My name is Barbara Hewitt and my husband Jerry and I are retired and live in southern California near the coast. We have a son and daughter in-law who live in Portland, OR. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. I met my husband while we were both working for PPG Industries. From the time we met to when we got married was only three and a half months, that was 45 years ago! I didn’t realize what corporate life was like... we moved every two to four years which translates into 14 apartments or homes; including one in Brazil.
Always being interested in science and in art, I chose to pursue science in college. The hospital environment has always been special to mer; even now I volunteer in outpatient rehabilitation. In 1996 I was introduced to traditional scrapbooking. Every photo the family had saved over the years plus many heritage photos from both sides of the family I put into books. In 2003 I discovered digital and have never looked back. I love the versatility of digital, the ease of combing kits and creating new things; plus the fact you can use kits over and over. My love of photography goes hand in hand with digital scrapbooking. My husband and I love to travel and have many books to document our travels. My first creative team was Little Feet Digital Designs, I am also is on the creative team of LJS Digital Designs, Simple Pleasure Designs by Jennifer Fehr and Created by Jill Scraps. I also convert .pngs files to .page files for those that use Storybook Creator, old software from Creative Memories, and/or Artisan by Panstoria for Bee Tree Studios, Marie H. Designs, Janet Scott and Tami Miller. I continue to take photography lessons and I belong to several photography clubs. I love the extra creative time that helping various designers has brought to me, since my grandcats don’t offer many opportunities for photos ops!
Hi my name is Bridget Clay. I live in Fort Worth, TX, my dad was in the Air Force and we moved quite often so I am happy to say I was born in Texas, forced to move away for a while and when I finally got back to Texas, I am grounded for life in the heart of Texas… although if I ever marry again, it will be to a rich man so we can summer in Seattle, WA. I have been blessed with two daughters, April and Jessica, and a son, AJ who are now adults and I can enjoy my time traveling. I have two granddaughters, Jada and Samya and a grandpuppy named Smalls.
I have been an avid scrapper for over 15 years and a digiscrapper upon joining the Pixels2Pages community 3 years ago. I’m a point and shoot girl but to me it’s about capturing the moment wherever I am. My kids have learned to be patient with me while I get the shot…even Smalls knows to smile. I am happy to join the Creative Team Little Feet Digital Designs where I can continue my journey of preserving my family history making beautiful pages through digital scrapbooking.
Christine (Chris) Mills - aka Caylynn
I'm a Canadian registered dietitian and certified group fitness instructor, currently finishing up the practica for a master's in public health degree - I decided to return to school after years in the workforce.
I'm married to an incredible man who is an engineering officer in the Canadian Army. We have no children, but three very demanding Sphynx cats. They are hairless, like Mr. Bigglesworth from the Austin Powers movies. Hubby is allergic to furred cats, but fortunately not to Sphynx!
Being an army wife, I've moved around a lot. We spent four glorious years in Munich, Germany, and I still have tons of photos from our travels during that time to scrap!
I was active in digital scrapbooking back in 2007-2008, having found it through the Photo Hunters blog hop (I have a blog for my cats - yes, I'm a crazy cat lady!) Ended up on a couple of CTs for designers at Gotta Pixel. Then suffered a concussion, had to stay off the computer for a long time, then moved, then got busy with life. I rediscovered digital scrapbooking this February, when one of our cats, Merlin, was diagnosed with lymphoma, and I wanted to document his time left with us. Found Ginger Scraps and immediately felt at home. The designers all seemed to suit my style, the challenges were fun, and everyone seemed so nice!
My cats are definitely my favourite subject to scrap, followed by travel photos, race photos (I've run three marathons, over a dozen half marathons, and several triathlons), and my wedding photos. We had a destination wedding / weddingmoon in Mexico, and I never tire of scrapping those photos.
Caylynn (or Cay) has been a nickname for a long time, which is why it ends up as my handle on most online sites, when it isn't taken! Otherwise, most people call me Chris, although my full name is Christine.
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and making LOs with Janet's beautiful kits!
Hi, I'm KM, I'm a tad shy and like to remain behind the scenes. I love to digi scrap and take pictures. I'm on several Creative Teams and I so love to be innovative with my designs. I never know how the page is going to turn out until I sit down and start designing.
My name is Sandy Norman. I live in San Jose, CA with my husband Tom. We just celebrated our 34th anniversary and are getting used to having the empty nest. Both of our daughters live in the Los Angeles area now so we don't get to see them as often as we would like. I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a "stay at home" mom - who was never at home - since our youngest was born. I wouldn't trade it for the world. I have been in love with scrapbooks since I was in the 5th grade, many years ago. My dad was in the Navy and I loved taking photos of the places we got to see while he was stationed in Naples, Italy. I still have all of my albums and I am working on updating them, either traditionally or digitally. At last count we have 92 albums and 43 Storybooks in the house.
My biggest passion has to be traveling to different locations worldwide. Tom and I have been to some great places, including New Zealand, Australia, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Italy and Hawaii. I have also been to Scotland, England, France, Switzerland, China, Washington, D.C., Peru and three trips Savannah, GA because of my involvement with Girl Scouts of Northern California as the lead travel volunteer. I am really getting excited for our trips to London in 2017 and Costa Rica and China in 2018. Of course, it wouldn't be a great trip without a couple thousand photos to play with after returning home. My other hobby is quilting. It's funny how similar it is to completing a scrapbook page. Same techniques, just a different medium. Once they are completed, they can be enjoyed for years to come.

Family: I have been married to my dear husband, Steve, for 37 years! We are both from Florida but we have livein Walpole, New Hampshire for 29 years where my husband is a Chiropractor.Together we have 9 children(8 daughters and 1 son--he's # 4). The four oldest are married and have children of their own. Their ages range from 26-34. Around Thanksgiving the 11th grandchild will be born in Colorado--and I will be out there! Right now we have 4 grand daughters and 6 grandsons all 7 years old and under. We don't know the gender of the new little one yet. We have 5 daughters still living at home ages ranging from 16 to 24. All are busy doing different things. Several work for their dad - he's a Chiropractor. I homeschooled all of them. The 16 year old is still working on her high school.
Scrapbooking: I have traditional scrapbooked since I was in high school. in 1997 I discovered Creative Memories. I had workshops, taught classes, went to retreats-- lived scrapbooking. Then in 2010 my son got married and some family members couldn't come...so I thought it was a good ideas to work digitally so I could easily send books to those that couldn't come. I was just going to do certain events like that... I don't think I have ever scrapbooked traditionally in these 5 years! My oldest daughter loves digital scrapbooking, I have 3 daughters at home that also spend some time working on their own digital scrapbooks. I am still in teach Artisan with tseveral ladies.
Our family loves to travel together. We make our annual trip to Florida, trips to Detroit to see our son, And now we will be taking trip to Colorado to visit out daughter. (flying). We like bicycle trips, hiking, sightseeing, conferences, historical anything.
ME!I love all things family and home. I home-educated all my children. I love them dearly and all the little Grands! I love sewing and creating. quilts, purses, & more. I love cooking, baking, and canning. I love photography I love gardening. I love my standard poodle, Tasha! She's only 6 months old, so just a puppy still.I am a Christian. This has impacted all areas of my life. My life is directed by my faith in the Lord Jesus.
Working for Creative Teams... I start with Designs by Laura Burger(June 2015), the Jumpstart Designs with Sherri Sessions(Aug 2105), and now LFDD with Janet Carr. I am very excited about being apart of these wonderful teams.
I live in the beautiful Okanagan Valley in south central British Columbia, Canada, an hour above the Washington State border. I am a retired Kitchen Designer and Florist. My husband Phil and I were married 7 years ago and have a wonderful blended family of 5 kids and 11 grandchildren! We have done lots of travelling together, which we both really love.
I have always been a creative person and have done many creative hobbies over the years. My sister, Lisa, got me started traditional scrapbooking with CM about 12 or more years ago. When she moved on to digital, she got me Storybook Creator and Memory Manager for my birthday one year. I had no idea where to start with it. A year or so later, I was in Edmonton, visiting her and she got me on to Pixels2Pages and I played around with it on her computer. When I got home I installed the programs, got a p2P membership and 5 years later, I am still addicted to digital scrapbooking. I could be on my computer from 9am until 11pm daily, if life didn't get in the way! I joined my 1st CT with Fayette Designs in January and I have been amazed at how my style has grown and I have stretched out of my comfort zone. I am addicted to challenges especially, to the detriment of my personal projects. I am trying to find a middleground to work with.
I really got interested in Photography about 5 years ago, wanting better photos for my books. My husband got me a better camera for Christmas, I took Nick Kelsh's Going Manual class, learned enough to need an even better camera and it is now a passion with me as well. I have learned to edit my photos in Lightroom and am slowly venturing into Photoshop. My other passion is learning to play the harp. My husband and I met a harpist at a charity ball the year before we were married. She played at our wedding in July and I started lessons from her in September of that year. I have a beautiful Lyon and Healy Troubadour harp named Clara, after my Grandmother. I still have so much to learn after 7 years, but I love it!
I have loved and used Janet's beautiful kits for years and got to know her while doing p2P's Home is Where The Heart Is project. It was such a great project and Janet's ever positive and always upbeat manner and encouragement made it so much fun! I was thrilled to be asked to join her CT and so excited to be here.
Sue Triggs-Rhuda - Creative Team Manager LFDD
Hi there! I’m Sue, and I am thrilled and honored, along with Barbara, to be one of Little Feet Digital Designs Creative Team Managers. I am in love with Janet’s kits and her beautiful modern vintage style!! My family lives just north of Boston, Massachusetts which is my absolute favorite part of the world. I am married to my best guy and partner in crime, Charlie and we are blessed to have two very sassy, crazy and active twin 14 year old girls, Lily and Gwen. We have a rescue black lab mix named Shadow who loves to command the house from her spot on the sofa. My job title is “Domestic Goddess”, but I also wear a tiara as well. As long as I can remember, I’ve always made things. As a grown-up, I’ve worked in a creative field of one sort or another my entire working life, memory keeping and scrapbooking have been a passion of mine since I was a kid (my dad and granddad worked for Kodak, so no lack of photos here!) I have always been a “paper scrapper”, and in 2011, I jumped into Project Life and added that to the mix. I started digital scrapbooking in February of 2008 with my first class at Jessica Sprague and I’ve been digi-scrapping ever since! I love the marriage of technology and art, I love being able to scrap anywhere I have my laptop with me, and not have to wait until I’m back in my studio. Which, considering the amount of driving, traveling, and waiting I do right now, is a good use of spare time!
In addition to a large stack of memory keeping related projects, I am working with my Dad and my sister to organize, catalog and digitize our “Triggs Family Archives” quite a job! I love to sew (I “collect” fabric like I do scrapbooking supplies!), knit, read, design (house, clothes, projects…), watch movies with my gang, go to the beach any time of year (our local fave, Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, MA), hang out with my friends and putter! I blog sporadically at
And to answer the question...Why I’m a memory keeper?
To capture the beauty of everyday, to freeze time, to honor the past, to dream of the future, to tell stories and to share my heart. This is your life, share your story.
